Mysterious footage, filmed on Sunday, of thousands of fish washed up on a beach in Marazion, Cornwall, UK.

It's the second time this has happened in a month and no one is 100 per cent sure why it's happened.

It has, however, been speculated by marine biologists that they were driven to shore by a predator.

Were they poisoned? Chased in by a Great White? or have they just had enough of all the plastic in the sea?

Thousands of pilchards, otherwise known as Cornish Sardines, have washed up on the beach in front of St Michael's Mount. Both juvenile and mature specimens litter the beach, interspersed by the odd mackerel.

Dog walkers and beach goers wondered if they had been poisoned in an environmental incident, or if they had been chased ashore by predatory animals.
