Footage has emerged from China of a digger being used to transport commuters along a flooded road.

The video, filmed in Sanhe, Hebei Province on June 23, shows the road completely submerged by flood water, with the driver transporting people through it.

It's not as heartwarming as it sounds though. The driver was reportedly charging people £2 a journey.

The video, filmed in Sanhe, Hebei Province on June 23, shows the road submerged in deep floodwater and several citizens transported by a forklift to cross the road.

Several places were flooded because of the strong rainstorm. Thus, a large number of people chose to use the forklift to commute especially during the peak time.

While, the forklift driver charged around two pounds per person each time.
