Residents in the Carolinas are recovering from the effect of Hurricane Florence, which made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina on September 14 and brought widespread destruction to neighboring cities.

This video, shot in Wilmington, North Carolina, shows the filmer backing up her Jeep and using a towing strap to pull out the debris from her yard.

The death toll from the hurricane has risen to 31 as flooding continues, threatening homes as rivers reached major flood levels. Authorities said the danger is still immediate in many parts of the state.

Florence has now weakened to a tropical depression with winds of 30mph (45km/h), according to the National Hurricane Centre.
