Storm Diana batters Cornish coast
Massive waves batter Porthleven on the south coast of Cornwall. Giant ocean swells created by gale force ten winds during Storm Diana are hitting the tiny fishing village today. Holiday homes perched on the top of the cliff are taking the brunt of the waves and spray. Many locals and storm watchers turned out to watch the dramatic event, but Coastguard teams closed the coastal road as a Danger to Life warning had gone out, and waves were crashing over the pier and road.
