However, the people who looked after the bear were visited by the police and handed over to the officers. The police stated that this sun bear is a protected animal. police officers then handed over to the conservation center of Riau Province's natural resources. It is estimated that the age of this bear is one year old. The condition of the bear child suffered a wound in the leg due to the snare installed by the residents. At present, the sun bear is maintained and treated in the Riau BKSDA. The number of honey bears caught by residents in Riau BKSDA is around 14, which will later be released in the forest.
