Riau Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Mohammad Iqbal held a press conference in Dumai City, Monday (12/6/2023). During the event, the evidence that was secured was displayed in front of Iqbal and the other PJUs.

Iqbal said that this success was the result of the cooperation of all parties. Where, the number of narcotics that were successfully secured came from 8 cases from 12 April to 7 June 2023.

This is the cooperation of all parties. Especially for friends from the Riau Police Narcotics Research Directorate and the Dumai Police who have worked hard to uncover, I thank you very much," said Iqbal.

He revealed, his party had made various efforts to prevent and eradicate narcotics in Riau Province.

He also claimed to have collaborated with the Malaysian Police to eradicate these drugs. In addition, most of the illegal goods in Riau come from Malaysia.

"We have come to Malaysia twice. Finally, about a month ago, I directly led the visit to Melaka. This is a pre-emptive effort that we are doing. As for disclosure, in 2022, we have disclosed more than 1 ton," he concluded.
