10 dead when two-storey building collapses after gas explosion in north India

At least a dozen people sustained injuries after a two-storey house collapsed under the impact of an LPG cylinder blast in northern India.

The incident took place on October 14 in Walidpur area in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district, and thus far 10 people have been reported killed in the collapse. 

Footage from the scene shows residents of the area surrounding the collapsed house moving rubble and searching for survivors.

The victims who've been recovered thus far have been rushed to a hospital.

According to local reports, earthmovers were called in to remove the rubble and aid the rescue mission.

Recalling the horror, an eyewitness said the house caught fire and collapsed minutes after the blast.
