A parade at the end of the festival of lights and water in Chiang Mai,Thailand. Loy Krathong remembers the goddess of water and is held on the first full moon of the twelfth lunar month, this year it's November 12. The purpose is to thank the river goddess for providing life to the fields and forests and to ask forgiveness for polluting waterways. People release small floats into rivers and canals and enjoy entertainments. In Chiang Mai where this video was shot, the festival is also known as Yi Peng.
