A university canteen worker was caught using her feet to wash vegetables and preparing food that had spilled on the floor in central China.

The disgusting video, shot in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province on November 8, shows a worker picking up sausages that had dropped onto the floor and putting them into a tray without washing.

Another worker was seen using one of her feet to repeatedly step onto the vegetable in a water basin to wash them.

The Wuhan Donghu University has issued an announcement that the stall has been closed, the members of staff have been fired and the administrative staff have been suspended.
