An alleged human tooth was found in a meal at a hospital canteen in eastern China.

The shocking video was filmed in Nanjing City in Jiangs Province on March 6.

A patient at Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital made a shocking discovery as he found what appeared to be a human tooth embedded within the meat in a box meal from the hospital's canteen.

The individual expressed disgust, stating that his own teeth were intact, and couldn't fathom how such a grotesque foreign object ended up in his meal.

A staff member from the implicated hospital has acknowledged the incident, asserting that they are currently unable to ascertain the exact composition of the foreign object.

Hospital authorities are actively investigating the matter, utilising surveillance footage from the canteen to trace the entire incident and determine the source of the foreign object.
