An elderly Chinese man luckily escaped serious injuries after being run over by a truck.

The dramatic CCTV video, shot in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province on November 15, shows a green truck knocking over an elderly man after he crossed during a red light.

According to reports, the elderly man suddenly ran the red light but the truck had already begun moving as the driver did not see the man.

Fortunately, the elderly man only suffered fractures to his toes. The case is under investigation.

加上驾驶人员稍不注意，后果堪忧。近日，在宁波镇海蛟川就发生了惊险一幕，一名老人因心急过马路闯红灯，误入了工程车盲区。

监控显示，事发当天，在镇海区蛟川街道金宝路与宁镇路路口，一名老人由北往南通过路口时突闯红灯，而这时由东往西的工程车已经启动，车辆前行时没有发现右侧出现的老人，老人瞬间被卷入车底。

镇海交警大队蛟川中队指导员 姚辉：本起事故中，老人突然间横穿路口，大车驾驶员在行驶过程中根本就看不到老人通过路口，导致了这起事故发生。

所幸的是，老人只是脚趾骨折，并无大碍。生活中，像工程车、水泥搅拌车这种大型车辆，行驶过程中存在盲区，在其它车辆或行人进入盲区时，货车驾驶员往往无法采取有效措施避险，由此引发交通事故的频率较高。

目前事故还正在进一步处理中。
