Beautiful 'hard rime' phenomenon filmed in Chinese forest park
A stunning "hard rime" phenomenon was caught on camera in a forest park in northern China after recent heavy snow.
The stunning view was filmed in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province on January 10.
The ice formation appeared on trees and on the ground, turning Xianfeng National Forest Park into a winter wonderland.
The hard rime phenomenon occurs when ice forms on the outer surfaces of objects such as trees as water droplets freeze in the cold fog.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
