A kind-hearted motorist helped a blind man cross a road in central China.

The heartwarming footage, shot in the city of Yichang in Hubei Province on January 9, shows a blind man with a tactile stick struggling to cross a road.

A car then stopped and the motorist came out of his vehicle to lead the blind man to cross the road and reach a bus station.

Police and local media found the kind-hearted motorist. He said he was a bit worried about breaking the rules as he stopped the car in the middle of road, but he thought the blind person's safety was the priority.

Police said it was legal for the motorist to stop his car in the middle of the road to help the blind man.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
