Kind-hearted residents rescued a man trapped in a car that was submerged by deep floodwater in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province on July 4 shows two men attempting to use bricks to smash the window of a car that got trapped in deep floodwater.

After the glass window was broken, the two men helped the motorist climb out of the car through the window.

According to reports, a driving instructor named Wu Caibo found a car was submerged in deep floodwater and the motorist hit the window inside the car to ask for help.

Wu then took off his clothes and swam to smash the car window with a brick, followed by another resident.

After the motorist was freed from the car, the three people swam to the bank safely.

Since the motorist was not injured, Wu and the other man left.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
