A robber wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in New Delhi managed to ransack £1,297,666 worth of stock from Anjali Jewellers in Block-H of the Kalkaji region.

CCTV footage Wednesday (January 20) shows the robber wearing a mask while filling up a rucksack with loot.

After carefully zipping up his bag he scans the rest of the room looking for more valuables to steal.

Local police were alerted later on in the morning and forensic teams were sent to the scene.

The accused, identified as Sheikh Noor, worked as an electrician in the area and entered the shop's premises by jumping in from an adjacent building using ropes.

The police apprehended Shiekh and retrieved 25 kg (55.116 lbs) of gold worth £1,297,666.

CCTV footage witnessing the incident features the burglar stuffing collectables into a backpack. He then proceeds to carefully zip the bag and wears it on his back. Then, he scans the room and its shelves further to find more stuff worth stealing. The mask-clad goon has his protective equipment at all times during the robbery.

The robbery came to light on Wednesday morning, and the local police were alerted immediately. Officials from the forensic department also reached the spot to accelerate the investigation.
