In a dramatic video caught on CCTV in south India, a robber armed with a knife can be seen entering a hotel to steal from the reception counter.

The incident happened on January 31 at around 12:20 am in Ettumanoor town in Kottayam district, Kerala.

The hotel owner was sitting at the counter when a man named Christy Joseph, 26, entered with a knife and attacked. One of the hotel staff tried to stop Joseph and was injured.

The robber stole 5,000 rupees (around £50) before fleeing and was later arrested by police on February 1.

Later police arrested him on 1st February . Hotel servant got minor injuries into the incident
