A man attacked a shop assistant with a knife as he was unable to buy cooked corn, which was sold out.

Shocking CCTV video, filmed in Nanning City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region last Monday (December 10), shows a customer taking out a large knife from his pocket and smacking a shop assistant standing behind the counter repeatedly.

After the shop assistant falls onto the ground, the man then spilled a pot of hot soup onto him before leaving.

According to reports, the customer got angry and slapped the shop assistant’s colleague after he was told that the cooked corns were sold out.

So the shop assistant called the police, but the man ran away.

However, the man came back after an hour and used a knife to attack the shop assistant.

The worker suffered serious injuries and was treated in hospital. The case was being investigated by police.
