The British National, identified as Lachlan Stewart, is a ski enthusiast who was on a ski trip to Gulmarg and lost track while skiing at Gandola 2nd Phase region in Afarwat. He reached the forested side of Afarwat after struggling for two hours amid heavy snowfall. Being in a no network area, the tourist was unable to contact anyone for help.
