Family members shook tree branches beside a car to make a 77-year-old man feel like he was driving in southwestern China.

The funny and heartwarming video, filmed in the city of Pu’er in Yunnan Province on February 12, shows an elderly man sitting on the driver’s seat in a parked car with his hands on the steering wheel while his children shook tree branches and bamboo sticks next to the car to make the elderly man feel like he was driving along the road.

According to the elderly man’s daughter Ms Liu, her father always wanted to learn to drive a car. But they are worried about their father’s safety and did not buy a car for him.

Liu and her siblings came up with the idea to shake tree branches next to their parked car to fulfil their father’s dream of driving.

拍摄者是老人的女儿刘女士，她介绍：因为老爸快80岁了，他一直有个愿望，想学车想开车，但是儿女们担心老人的安全，就没给他买老年车。家里的兄弟姐妹就商量，要不给爸爸拍个视频看看，让他感受下开车的感觉是什么样的。两个小侄子到车顶上去指挥，其他几个摆树枝的摆树枝，大家都很开心。老爸老妈说，都快活到80岁了，真没想到还能体验下开车的幸福啊。（视频由云南台提供）
