Forest officials rescued a leopard that got stranded inside a 60-feet-deep well while hunting a wild boar in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 6. The incident took place in the Ratona village, located in the Sagar district.

Visuals show the forest officials tranquilizing the big cat before rescuing it. They lower a cot into the well, following which they use a tranquilizing gun to sedate the animal. Once done, the team pulls the cot up with their collective effort. They immediately put a net over the sedated leopard, following which the experts tend to its injuries. Later, the forest officials carry the big cat into a cage on a stretcher.

The 3-year-old male leopard fell into 10-feet-deep water inside the well on Saturday night, following which the locals spotted him on Sunday morning. They immediately alerted the forest department and a team from Bhopal rushed to the spot to initiate the rescue operation. The leopard sustained injuries on its head while attempting to escape from the well and has been taken to Van Vihar National Park for an elaborate treatment of 15 days.
