Cops foil bovine smuggling attempt in northern India

The police officials foiled a bovine smuggling operation and saved 13 bovines in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on June 26. The incident took place in Lakhanpur, located in the Kathua district.

A video features the cops inspecting an oil tanker. They open the back of the vehicle to reveal at least 13 bovines hidden inside. Following this, the cops place heaps of gravel and sacks to make an elevated slope for the animals to de-board the oil tanker.

When the driver tried to flee the scene upon being stopped for inspection, the cops chased and stopped him. They opened the back of the oil tanker to reveal 13 bovines. The vehicle was on its way from Punjab, and the police arrested the driver. Moreover, the Lakhanpur police are further investigating the case.
