A security camera in southern India has captured the moment three wild leopards walked through a residential area at night.

The footage, which was filmed on July 1 at 4:26 am in Valparai in the state of Tamil Nadu, shows the three big cats strolling down a residential street.

Leopards are known to stray into residential areas in India where they regularly prey on domesticated dogs.

Valparai is a hilly area that is located in Coimbatore District of Tamilnadu. As this area is located near the forest many wild animals from the forest pay a visit to the human settlements often. Likewise three cheetahs paid visit to the down town at night. All the three big cats were seen walking carelessly on the streets of the town. These were captured in the CCTV camera that was installed in one of the shops of the town
