An elephant with her calf charged toward a pedestrian walking along a road in Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu.

Footage from July 16 shows the jumbos walking across a road before the mother turns quickly and begins running at a man.

The man quickly moves out of the way as he spots the elephant charging toward him.

The elephant and its calf then run into the forest next to the road.

Sathyamangalam is the highway that connects two south Indian states. It runs through a forest. Although the forest animals were used to the human presence sometimes it gets angry like this mama elephant.


A mama elephant was walking alongside of the highway but a human too followed the elephant closely for a long time. On sensing this the mama elephant thought that the human may be a threat to its baby and started chasing him.


The person ran for safety from the wild jumbo. Then the mama elephant patiently walked into the forest with its baby….
