Residents rescued a cat trapped on the cover of an air conditioner unit outside the 33rd floor of a building in northern China.

The heroic video, filmed in the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province on August 17, shows residents using a fishing net with food inside to try to catch the cat but failed.

They then used a long stick to tie a rope around the cat’s neck and used the fishing net to catch it.

According to reports, the cat was stuck on the cover of the air conditioner unit for around two or three weeks. Residents and the property management employees fed it multiple times but did not know how to save it.

The cat was finally rescued after around five hours.

The cat was in good health and will be taken care of by the rescue centre for a while.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
