Firefighters in Vedasandur, Tamil Nadu, hauled a cow out of a 40-feet-deep well.

Officials were called after Mahalingam, a local farmer, heard one of his cows crying out from down the well.

Footage from August 17 shows the team of firefighters, aided by locals, pull a cow out of the watery pit.

The cow did not suffer any injuries.

Location: Vedasanthur , Dindugal District of Tamilnadu.

Mahalingam is a farmer he is also rearing a couple of cows. One of his cows were seen grazing near the well. Suddenly it fell inside the well that was 40 feet deep. Water was there for nearly 10 feet. Then the farmer heard the cries of the cow and came to see what happened to his cow. Then saw his cow in his well. Then he immediately called the fire and the rescue team. They reached the spot and one of them got down into the well.

They tied ropes around the cow and air lifted the cow safely without any injuries
