A horse trapped in a 6-feet-deep sewage canal was rescued by firefighters in Anthiyur, Tamil Nadu.

The horse fell into the canal after a makeshift bridge collapsed. Passersby alerted the local fire service after spotting the trapped animal.

Footage from August 16 shows the moment the horse was pulled fro out of the pit and back to safety.

A make shift crossing bridge was set on a sewage cannal. A horse climbed on that cannel and and suddenly the bridge collapsed and the horse fell on the sewage cannal. Then the passersby called the fire and rescue service. They rushed to the spot. Tied ropes around the horse and airlifted the horse.

Then it was checked for any injuries and it seemed to be fine.
