Two sambar deer's escapes intelligently from a pack of dholes in south india
Location: Marlimund lake, Nilgiris district of Tamilnadu.
Dholes are seen in large numbers in Nilgiris district of Tamilnadu. These Dholes usually hunt buffallo, deers even baby elephant sometimes. A pack of Dholes came to Maarlimanth lake and attacked a group of sambar deers. From that two deers caught with the pack but intelligently they escaped.
But a deer calf was hunted by the pack of Dholes. Helpless mama tried to save the baby but she failed in her attempt.
The Dholes even can hunt and attack humans and hence the forest department staffs asked the public not to venture near the water bodies.
