Dozens of trees smashed by extreme winds in Indonesia
Heavy rains accompanied by extreme winds rocked southwestern Indonesia, causing dozens of trees to fall, including three which reportedly fell on cars.
Footage filmed in Tangerang, Banten province, Thursday (December 23), shows extreme rain and wind blowing over residential areas.
On the street, a road shading tree fell on a passing government car.
"Tree fell on top of the driver. Luckily, the driver survived with a few bruises on his head," said a resident near the location, Anton Fatoni Wijaya.
Head of Tangerang City, Achmad Zuldin, told the media, owners of the two other cars hit by a fallen tree were unknown.
"All car owners who were hit by a fallen tree please report to the police, later the Tangerang City Government will compensate for the damaged vehicle," Zuldin added.
