Tankers and other parts of a dumping center in Bodh Gaya, India resulted in a huge fire on February 3 in the dumping ground as diesel tanks caught up in the explosion and sent toxic fumes into the local air.

A sudden fire broke out in the dumping point of IL&FS near Zindapur on Bodh Gaya-Dobhi main road of Magadh University police station area under Bodh Gaya block of Gaya district 3rd January on evening.

Seeing the smoke emanating from the same burning for two hours, people reached the spot from few km and informed the company's staff after shouting, after which the staff informed the fire brigade and the police.
After the efforts of several fire tenders, the fire was found to be controlled.

Many big tankers kept in dumping were filled with diesel or any other inflammable material. Which was being forked with a gas cutter. Because the company had to clear the dumping as soon as possible, while cutting the tank with the gas cutter, a spark in the flammable material in it caught fire. Suddenly, hundreds of liters of oil spread in the ground and slowly the fire spread. When the fire was not brought under control by the staff, it was informed to the fire brigade after two hours.

Manoj Kumar, the staff living there, told that the order to vacate it has been received from the IL&FS company. For which the tanker was being forked with a gas cutter by the company's sent employees. First an attempt was made to control the fire. Seeing that the fire could not be controlled, the information was given to the fire brigade along with the police.

Let us inform that till 2020, the work of four lanes being built on NH-83 from Dobhi to Gaya and Gaya to Patna was being done by the company. After the deadline of the tender, the company had converted the center built on several acres near Jindapur into a dumping center. To look after it, the company had hired and kept many employees there. To clear the dumping, iron articles were being cut and made into scrap.
