A 1-year-old girl nearly fell into a river as the guardrail she held while walking on a bridge suddenly broke in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Yancheng in Jiangsu Province on March 27 shows a girl walking down the stairs on a bridge while holding the guardrails on the side.

However, one bar suddenly broke when the girl grabbed it to walk down the stairs.

The scared girl then sat on the ground and cried.

The girl's grandfather Mr Ding said he went to check the guardrails in the afternoon on that day and found several bars were broken. He hoped that relevant departments will pay attention to it.
