A Shanghai resident used a drone to capture the deserted streets as the city remained in COVID-19 lockdown.

Video filmed on April 1 shows empty streets in Shanghai.

Local authorities have decided to divide Shanghai in half for a two-part lockdown, using the Huangpu River as a dividing point.

Districts on one side will be locked down and tested between 28 March and 1 April, the other between 1 April and 5 April.
