Passengers that were left stranded on cable cars in Deoghar, Jharkhand, were airlifted to safety on April 12.

The Indian Air Force used helicopters to reach passengers stuck in the cable cars that had come to a stop after a collision.

Footage shows officials hauling up a distressed child into the helicopter and another clip shows a woman being hoisted into the aircraft.

Three people were killed during the incident while others were taken to hospital for treatment.

The Indian Air Force officials rescued a woman and a child using choppers in eastern India's Jharkhand post a cable car collision on April 12.

The incident took place at the Trikut hills, close to Baba Baidyanath Temple, in Deoghar district.

Visuals feature an official swinging in the air, coming back up to the chopper while a crying child holds onto him. He safely elevates up to the helicopter and places the boy inside, relieving him. Later, a woman too repeats the drill while wearing a safety harness.

According to reports, the rescue ended on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, three people, including two women, have died, while others are undergoing treatment at the Deoghar Sadar Hospital.

The accident took place after some cable cars on the ropeway collided with each other, following a technical snag.
