A ground staff worker was stabbed in an alleged gang fight between two rival groups of employees at an airport in Bangkok.

Yuttasat Buachaturat, 23, was on his way home after work when he was cornered by at least ten people at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport on April 11.

CCTV footage shows the baggage porter being attacked by alleged gang members. He fought them off and tried to escape but without success until one of them stabbed him deep in his right hip.

The alleged attackers fled the scene before medics arrived to give the injured worker first aid treatment and rush him to Chularat Hospital.

Airport police station officer Police Lieutenant Colonel Athichai Sukpho said: ‘Our initial investigation says that the attackers were part of a gang inside the airport.

‘We were still confirming their identities and motive but it was believed to be a misunderstanding between the group and the injured worker.’

The worker is still recovering at the hospital as the knife hit an interntal organ.

Police said that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
