This is the bizarre moment a mini-tornado seemed to follow a woman as she walked through a car park.

Waranthiya Meemana, 30, was leaving the building when the spinning cyclone started picking up the dried leaves from the concrete floor in Udon Thani, northern Thailand on May 25.

The woman moved away from the small whirlwind but it appeared to follow her. She said: 'I've never experienced anything like it before.'

The mild dust devil tornado did not cause any damaged and dissipated in under a minute.

They are formed when the sun heats a patch of land and the air above becomes warmer and rises quickly. Cooler air then moves into the low-pressure gap left by the rising warm air. The new drafts of cooler air also heat up, rise and the cycle continues, picking up dust and debris making the spiral visible.
