Remains of Yorkshire's last coal fired power station reduced to rubble in spectacular explosion

Today marked the end of an era, when the remains of the last Coal fired Power Station in Yorkshire was demolished by explosives. The spectacular event happend just after 10am this morning (24th July) at the decommisioned power plant near Selby,North Yorkshire. The chimney & boiler house was the last to be brought down by controlled explosions, since the first demolition on the site took place back in August 2021. Since then, there has been a series of explosions on the site that opened in 1967 & closed down in September 2018. A series of photos at the end of the video, shows the chimney and boiler house come crashing to the ground in stages.
