Water released from a dam in South India floods many villages. 1,10,000 cusecs of water were released into the Kollidam river and
Villages which are near the river mouth, were the worst affected by the increased discharge.
Residential units in Nathalpadugai and neighbouring hamlets were worst affected as water entered houses.
Livestock were also affected due to the sudden flash floods.
