A stray puppy trapped in a tight space between two walls was rescued in Thailand.

The pooch crawled into the narrow path to search for food but ended up stuck when it reached the middle in Chonburi province on August 18.

It was crying loudly and after an hour, a fireman stationed nearby came to help upon hearing the sounds.

Footage shows the dog howling from the bottom of the gap while the rescuer worked on pulling it.

Fireman Yotin Wayowiset said: ‘Fortunately, I came to work early so I heard the dog's cry before it was too late. I knew there was something wrong when I heard the sound.'

The fire rescue officer followed the pooch's cry and found its tiny body trapped in between the Ang Sila fire station building's structure. Yotin quickly grabbed a hook and dragged the stray out.

Only after a moment, the puppy was brought up to the ground safely.

Relieved officer Yotin said: ‘The puppy is now living happily with its mother dog and siblings. We plan on taking them to an animal shelter so they would be better taken care of.'
