A bungling motorist was stuck in wet concrete when he drove through a newly-paved road in the Philippines.

The black SUV was aiming to make a turn when his wheels were caught under ten-inch sludge in Bulacan province on October 22.

But instead of backing off, the stubborn driver pushed across the unfinished construction and had to be rescued by workers and onlookers.

GoPro footage shows the vehicle flashing its signal light while trapped under thick concrete.

Passing motorcycle rider Renato Roque said: 'The Fortuner driver should have known better than to cause delays for everyone on the road.'

The black car's wheels left skid marks behind on the wet concrete so it had to be reapplied.

In the end, the car had to be towed off the site. Local officials also helped clear a slow traffic build-up in the area.

Despite the delay, the driver was unhurt.
