Earthquake victim, 7, rescued after spending two days trapped under rubble

This is the heartwarming moment a seven-year-old boy was rescued after spending two days trapped under earthquake rubble in Indonesia.

The youngster, named Rafka, was pinned down by a collapsed building in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province, on Monday November 21.

Rescue teams searching through the debris for survivors of the disaster heard faint cries from the lad in Nagrak village on Wednesday November 23.

Miraculously, the youngster had survived without any food or water and he was pulled to safety before being taken to the hospital.

Senior Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police said: 'The child was found this morning around 10.05 am by a joint SAR team.

'He was immediately handled by the tea and taken away for treatment and to assess his injuries.'

The 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit Cianjur Regency killing at least 268 with 151 still missing and more than 1,000 injured.

Rescue teams are still searching for survivors.
