Local residents arrived at a seaside beauty spot in East Yorkshire this morning (December 26) to continue an annual tradition. North Landing at Flamborough near Bridlington was the setting for the annual Boxing Day Dip,in which brave men and women from the area go into the ice cold sea to take a dip or a swim.

Emergency crewz were on standby to assist anyone who may have got into difficulties, but weren't needed and everyone enjoyed themselves, regardless of the sea temperature.

Crowds of spectators were seen to line the shoreline and cliffs to cheer on the participants.
The event at nearby Bridlington had to be cancelled this year due to poor water quality.
