A cow was rescued from a drainage pit in Walajapet, Tamil Nadu, by firefighters with the help of an excavator.

Locals alerted the fire and rescue team after spotting the bovine down a 6-foot-deep pit.

The rescue team dug a larger pit so they could pull the cow out safely without any injuries.

A cow unknowing fell in a drainage pit that was 6 feet deep. It almost breathed hardly by by lifting its face above. It even mooed for help too.. When the by standers saw this they immediately called the fire and rescue team.

Fire and rescue team rushed to the spot and tried to pull the cow with tying ropes but their efforts went in failure and hence they brought a Digging machine with the help of that they dug a bigger pit and pulled out the cow.

The cow was rescued without any injuries
