On December 9, 2022, the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, experienced a significant flood, which resulted in the submergence of the ironwood bridge. Despite the adverse weather conditions, a group of friends were on their way to Loah village to participate in a volleyball tournament.

As the only way to reach their destination, the friends had no choice but to cross the flooded bridge. Thankfully, one of the friends, @rusmegawati1, captured the moment on film. The video shows the bridge, made entirely of ironwood, barely visible above the rushing waters of the Mahakam River.

Despite the danger posed by the flood, the friends made it across the bridge and continued on to the tournament. The video is a good way to remember how important it is to be ready and careful when traveling in bad weather.
