Wildlife workers removed a giant bee's nest after the bugs began attacking residents.

Officers received a report on March 1 and went to inspect the trees outside the homes in Ang Thong province, central Thailand, on March 1.

They found the enormous hive hanging from a mango tree with an army of bees protecting it.

The wildlife team used torches and built a fire from bamboo, banana leaves, and coconut husks hoping the smoke would subdue the swarm. However, they still had difficulty due to the sheer size of the hive.

As the bees divebombed them, the officers, who were not wearing protective suits, took a sickle and began to tear down the nest.

It took 20 minutes before the hive was destroyed. Luckily, none of the staff were allergic to bees.

The officers said they had to remove them as they were pestering the residents, including a bedridden patient, nearby.
