A man sandboards on a dune at Crantock Beach in Cornwall, South West England, despite the warning issued by the Royal National Lifeboat Association asking the public to keep clear of the hills as dry and windy weather is making them more unstable.

A number of huge sand falls on the huge beach sand dunes formed by recent dry and windy weather have caused the Royal National Lifeboat Association to issue a warning to the public to keep clear of the Crantock beach dune areas. The Dunes are popular with families for dry surfing. The RNLI have stated that anyone requiring aid on the dunes would require a major emergency response due to the dunes being unsafe to stand on. The beach is patrolled by RNLI lifeguards and is owned by the National Trust charity. Large numbers of half term school holiday visitors are visiting the popular beach daily with village car parks at capacity.
