Armyman Jumps into Canal to Save Drowning Woman in Patiala, India

An army man acted in time to jump and save the life of a woman who was drowning in a canal in northern India's Punjab.
This incident happened in Bhakra canal near Patiala district on June 16.
The Footage shows the army official, identified as Sepoy DN Krishnan rescuing the woman from the water body. He jumped into the canal and swam quickly towards the lady before saving her life. She was dragged to the top by bystanders after the army man had taken her to the shore.
As per a report, Krishnan ran about 100 metres along the canal before jumping into it to save the woman. The locals soon arrived at the spot and informed the police. The woman, who was rescued, was handed over to the police.
