Flash flood brought by torrential rain submerged a subway and an underground garage in southwest China.

The video was filmed in the city of Guiyang in Guizhou Province on June 18.

A subway station was inundated by rapidly rising floodwater, forcing temporary closures. Meanwhile, cars parked in an underground garage were left marooned as water levels rose, and there were even instances of vehicles being swept away by the floods on the city streets.

The city's Fire Rescue Brigade was quick to respond to the emergency, deploying 43 teams, 86 vehicles, and more than 510 personnel in a large-scale rescue and flood mitigation operation.

The heroic efforts resulted in four civilians being rescued and 31 trapped individuals evacuated from the stricken areas.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
