A driver knocked over a man blocking a parking spot and then drove away in southern China.

Video filmed in Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province on July 5 shows, a man single-handedly blocking a parking space, stubbornly preventing anyone else from parking there.

The standoff escalated when an infuriated driver, desperate to park his vehicle, reversed into the man in an act of frustration.

Eyewitnesses watched in stunned silence as the man stumbled back from the impact, barely managing to keep his balance. The driver, without skipping a beat, swiftly manoeuvred his vehicle into the now vacant space and accelerated away from the scene.

Despite the hit, the man, in a bewildering twist, made a futile attempt to chase after the fast disappearing vehicle, only to give up and return to the very spot he was safeguarding.

According to witnesses at the scene, the man continued to loiter at the parking space after the incident, looking somewhat guilty but didn't take any further action against the vehicle that knocked him down.
