A truck collided with a coach carrying 20 people, killing 5 in southern China.

The aftermath video was filmed in the city of Dazhou in Sichuan Province on September 7.

The incident took place at around 5:00 pm when the two vehicles, a truck and a coach smashed into each other on the winding downhill route.

Emergency services were dispatched promptly to the scene of the crash. The DaZhu County Fire and Rescue Brigade, Blue Sky Rescue Team, and medical emergency responders from the 120 service were among the first to arrive, attempting to rescue and provide immediate assistance to the casualties.

Tragically, the collision resulted in immediate fatality to one individual at the scene. Four others, grievously wounded, were rushed to the hospital, but despite valiant efforts from the medical teams, their injuries proved too severe, and they succumbed.

As it stands, 16 other victims are being treated in hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition.

Further verification revealed that the bus, which has a seating capacity of 30, was carrying 20 passengers at the time: the driver, a ticket collector, and 18 passengers. The truck was transporting only its driver, bringing the total number of people involved to 21.

The exact cause of the accident is still under intense scrutiny. Investigators are meticulously working to uncover the sequence of events that led to such a devastating outcome.
