Fish were spotted swimming through a hotel's corridor after Typhoon Haikui in southern China.

The funny scene was filmed in Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province on September 8. Schools of fish swam freely through the hotel corridors.

An employee from the Panyu Hotel remarked on the bizarre incident, attributing it to the heavy downpour the previous night which surpassed the drainage limits.

According to meteorological data, between 8:00 am on September 7 and 11:00 am on September 8, the Panyu district was battered by torrential rainfalls which ranged from heavy downpours to extremely heavy showers.

The recorded rainfall for durations of 6, 12, and 24 hours have all shattered previous precipitation records in the area.
