A minibus suddenly crashed into a car accessory store as the driver mistook the accelerator for the brake in eastern China.

Dramatic CCTV footage filmed in the city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province on October 29, shows an out-of-control minibus crashed through the rolling shutter door, plowing into a shop and colliding with a car.

Shop owner Mr Shi explained that the minibus was driven by a 68-year-old individual who, in a momentary lapse, mistook the gas pedal for the brake.

The accident resulted in damages estimated at 30,000 yuan (£3,400) to 50,000 yuan (£5,700), and the traffic authorities held the elderly driver fully responsible for the mishap.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
